Conservatives BS about ‘suppressed’ EPA global warming report

Via a href="http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-10274412-38.html"CNET/a, it’s clear that the anti-science wing of the GOP is going to try to make hay out of an allegedly suppressed report by career EPA staffer Alan Carlin, cited by Smokey Joe Barton last week on the House floor during Waxman-Markey debate.br /br /But, let’s take a look at Carlin’s own, a href="http://carlineconomics.googlepages.com/"Googlepages website/a to get the lowdown on his political angle.br /br /And we have it. Go to Carlin's website, look at his list of publications. This guy's a href="http://www.cato.org/pubs/regulation/regv28n3/v28n3-3.pdf"flogging cost-benefit analysis/a (PDF) as THE answer on global warming, and other stuff, for years. His global warming answer is a href="http://pennumbra.com/issues/article.php?aid=138"atmospheric engineering with aerosols/a, a HUGELY dangerous proposition.br /br /EPA's only "problem" is that Carlin wasn't smoked out and headed off at the pass six months ago.div class="blogger-post-footer"There is no god and I am his prophet.img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7532871-1472502193406490641?l=socraticgadfly.blogspot.com'//div

Obama claimed that the average American would not bear the brunt of this historic tax-increase… claiming instead that “It is paid for by the polluters who currently emit dangerous carbon emissions.”

Just compare this outrageous falsehood to Ronald Reagans’ timeless wisdom:

“The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us.

…Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business.”

And after the way the rammed this through the House with little debate, without legislators even reading it… and while quarantining the GOP from any meaningful input whatsoever, any foolhardy individuals who still believe Obama’s threadbare “bipartisanship” spiel ought to have their head examined.
