Could St. Louis lose its Catholic hospitals under new federal abortion legislation?

Nadler's a Jewish democrat representing the west side of Manhattan and he wants to federalize a law saying that the right to have an abortion is a fundamental right that cannot be interfered with. I don't think his religion factors much into his decision, but I see his actions as insincere. His background and constituency is probably not very similar to that of conservatives in fly-over country. Now he wants to impose his morality on everyone, and go so far as to offend Catholics.

This man does not love freedom at all.

I moved out of Rangel's district into Nadler's district. (I just can't win, at least until I graduate.) There is little to no chance of unseating this guy and it's almost pointless to write him (even though I will still write him to express extreme displeasure at pretty much everything he ever votes for), given where his money is coming from and who his constituents are.

From Wikipedia:

In 1992, Ted Weiss was expected to run for reelection in the 8th District, which had been renumbered from the 17th after the 1990 U.S. Census. However, Weiss died a day before the primary election. Nadler was nominated to replace Weiss. He was elected easily that November, winning the seat in his own right and a special election to serve the rest of Weiss' term. He has been reelected with little serious competition in one of the most Democratic districts in the country; a Republican has not represented this district or its predecessors in over a century.

Ugh. This guy needs to go and be replaced with something that looks more like Ron Paul.
