Obama-Baucus healthcare sellout continues - why the astroturfing?

Texas Sen. John Cornyn claims President Barack Obama a href="http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2009/08/cornyn_to_obama_stop_with_the.asp"is assembling an “enemies list”/a about people behind disruptions of Congressional town halls and such.br /br /Byron York a href="http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Obamas-dissident-database-could-be-secret----and-permanent-52571822.html"joins Cornyn on the conspiracy theory/a of a secret presidential database being compiled.br /br /Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090806/ap_on_go_co/us_health_overhaul_protests_1"refuses to denounce any violence, intimidation or threats/a associated with these groups.br /br /Why are they even worried?br /br /Mod Max Baucus and his Senate Finance Committee Gang of Six have put the finishing touches on a href="http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/08/dem-congressmans-office-his-life-has-been-threatened-over-health-care-bill.php"gutting the public option/a on health insurance. And, if you expect a federal government alternatingly lead by neolib Dems and yahoo GOPers to actually regulate health insurance companies tightly enough to save us all money, I have some palm trees in Baucus' Montana to sell you, complete with lobbyist funding to buy them.br /br /Meanwhile, at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, Team Obama a href="http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-na-healthcare-pharma4-2009aug04,0,4078424,full.story"continues its sellout to Big Pharma/a.br /br /So relax, folks. You are going to get screwed; the astroturfers could have saved their Tea Party money; the lobbyist money worked just fine by itself.div class="blogger-post-footer"There is no god and I am his prophet.img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7532871-3363217825238818355?l=socraticgadfly.blogspot.com'//div
